Anorak Patch join us again, almost a year to the day since they last played. Effie, Oscar, Eleanor and Luca are returning after a solid summer of development of their sound and style. They are returning for Independent Venue Week 2021 to launch their new single. Their last single has nearly broke 1 Million plays on Spotify. That shows for a group with ages ranging from 13 to 16, they are seriously developing their tastes and songwriting ability. They also won the best local track in Paul Dupree’s transmission show on CCR for the end of year poll. This band beans business.
Anorak Patch have been helped along the way by Monster Florence’s very own Tom Donovan. He helped to create the rather striking video above and translate their musical idea into great recordings. The band began life after being asked to form for an all day music festival at The Albion pub in Rowhedge. They are still very young and have shown an incredible work ethic and momentum far beyond their years.
After sellout shows at the Three Wise monkeys and around Essex and a BBC Introducing session in Suffolk. Their first ever track was championed by Steve Lamacq on his 6 music recommends show. The second single got airplay right across the entire network along with a lot of media attention. Anorak Patch have set their sights on Hot Box. Anorak Patch will play their latest materials with diverse influences such as Black Midi, Radiohead and Slint.
